sweet vim lovin

I, like many others, have chosen to use vim as my favorite editor. Since I started this process I've been learning more and more about the various minutia that exist within vim. Recently I've been working with windows specific code and xml processing. On the side, I've been tweeking things to work cross platform, targeting my mac. Soon I'll manage to motivate myself towards writing something that will allow me to compile in any situation from vim. Currently this wonderous functionality is missing.
