pulling mailbox data from exchange and software engineering versus engineering

Say you someone finds themselves missing email suddenly, what do you do? You break out ExMerge, which will allow you to export the contents of an exchange mailbox to an outlook pst file. ExMerge can also be used to delete mail from mailboxes (remove those "oops" messages).

On another note JeremyK has a very interesting take on software engineering versus engineering. As a software engineer myself, I find that there is a lot expected from software that would not be expected from buildings or bridges. There are indeed software products that can dramatically affect a person's life, consider a ventilator which helps the infirm to breath. While all projects are not as critical, there are those that do indeed place a person in a position of great responsibility. Though JeremyK does make a good point regarding Errors and Omissions insurance, its not likely that I'll be taken to task personally for a failure in my software.
