japan and ruby-hl7

It’s been a good while since I posted, mostly due to work and planning for my Honeymoon. On the 25th I leave for Tokyo, we’ll be visiting also Kyoto and Osaka while in Japan. I’m really looking forward to the trip, It’ll be a nice chance to flex some of my Japanese language skills even though I would describe myself as having the vocabulary of a two year old. I wonder if anyone can direct me to must see spots that aren’t on the usual tourist regimen?

In other news I am still actively working on vim ruby omni completion, but Ruby-HL7 has temporarily asserted priority over the completion project. I should be releasing version 0.1 of the Ruby-HL7 library later today. The curious can check out the trac instance. I’ve registered a rubyforge project (aptly named ruby-hl7) to handle gem distribution.
