blog syndication fun.

I've been trying to figure out why google refuses to index my site AT ALL. It's getting quite annoying at this point. I'm begining to think this is due to my rather low TTL settings in my dns records. Those are a hold-over from when I was running hasno.info and meepity.net off of a time-warner cable modem (best cable company I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with...). I'm tossing my blog into some syndication engines, if this doesn't work I'll start tooling around with dns. Fun fun. On another note, I've started fixing my vhosts, mail.hasno.info is finally pointing at my horde setup, though IMP seems to be somewhat busted in ways.

The alpha version of IMP supports gpg and acts a bit more like gmail (loading messages, etc) but certain things occasionally break. Though I am sort of kludging it into working with my xml fix. Oddities are expected when you take out the duct tape and patch things up haphazardly.

Speaking of gpg, I need to have a key signing party at some point to extend my web of trust. If your not familiar with the concept, public key signing allows a party to verify the origin of information. This is only valid when you trust the originating party and can verify that they are indeed who they present themselves as. Hence key signing parties, a way for others to endorse a person's identity.
